Design and Craftsmanship

The Model C Mk II boasts an elegant design reminiscent of Steinway & Sons pianos, featuring a black lacquered front, a bronze-gold frame visible through the open back, black strings, and polished gold details.
Open Baffle Dipole Design

The Model C Mk II employs an open baffle dipole design, eliminating the constraints of traditional speaker enclosures. This design allows the tweeter and midrange drivers to reproduce soundwaves freely, interacting with the room like a musical instrument. The result is a pure, transparent, and high-resolution sound with no coloration from the speaker enclosure.

Air Motion Transformer Tweeter

The tweeter in the Model C Mk II features an Air Motion Transformer (AMT) design with an ultra-thin, folded Kapton diaphragm and powerful neodymium magnets. This setup provides crystal-clear, high-resolution, distortion-free performance, even at high volume levels, capturing the finest details in the audio signal.

Magnesium Midrange Drivers

The loudspeaker includes two precision-cast magnesium midrange drivers. These drivers are equipped with vented Hexadym neodymium magnets and vented injection-molded baskets, ensuring excellent sound reproduction and minimal distortion.

Separate Boundary Woofers

The Model C Mk II is paired with separate boundary woofers, enhancing bass performance. These woofers are placed near the room corners, providing deep, powerful, and tight bass. This setup also allows for a slim, elegant design with greater flexibility in room placement.

Integrated System Approach

Steinway Lyngdorf’s integrated system approach ensures optimal performance. The Model C Mk II is designed to work seamlessly with Steinway & Sons A1 or A2 digital power amplifiers. The system’s crossover is managed entirely in the digital domain by a Steinway & Sons processor, ensuring perfect frequency, gain, and time alignment. The RoomPerfect™ room correction technology further adapts the system to the acoustics of the room, delivering the best possible sound performance.
Exceptional Sound Quality

The combination of an open baffle design, AMT tweeter, magnesium midrange drivers, and separate boundary woofers results in superior sound quality. The Model C Mk II delivers clear, detailed, and dynamic audio performance, making it ideal for both music and cinematic experiences.

High Flexibility

The separate boundary woofers and elegant design provide flexibility in room placement, allowing the speakers to fit seamlessly into various room configurations without compromising on sound quality.

Advanced Room Adaptation

The integrated RoomPerfect™ technology ensures that the system adapts to the room's acoustics, delivering optimal sound performance regardless of the room's shape or size.
