The Control4 DIN-Rail 8-Channel Relay V2 is a centralised switching module designed for Control4 smart-home and automation systems. Installed within a DIN-rail lighting panel, it provides on/off control for up to eight independent electrical circuits, allowing lighting and other electrical loads to be managed through the Control4 platform. As part of Control4’s panelised lighting architecture, the relay module enables centralised control of circuits from keypads, touchscreens, remotes or the Control4 mobile app. This approach reduces the need for traditional wall switches while enabling advanced automation scenes, schedules and system-wide commands.
Each relay channel supports loads of up to 16 A, making the module suitable for switching a wide range of devices including lighting circuits, exhaust fans, pumps, motors and other non-dimmable loads. Unlike dimmer modules, the relay provides simple and reliable on/off switching, ideal for devices that cannot be dimmed. The module integrates with the Control4 controller via Ethernet networking and includes front-panel manual channel buttons and LED indicators for local control and diagnostic status. A DIN-rail mounting design allows installation within Control4 lighting panels or compatible electrical enclosures.
