Control4 CORE 3 Controller

The CORE 3 functions as a high-resolution multi-room audio source, integrating Control4’s Ryff audio platform to distribute music throughout the home. It features upgraded digital-to-analogue converters (DACs) and multiple audio outputs to deliver high-quality sound across several zones simultaneously.

Audio features include:

• Four simultaneous audio outputs
  
• Two stereo analogue outputs
  
• One digital coaxial output
  
• One HDMI audio output
  
• Support for high-resolution audio up to 24-bit / 192 kHz
  

These outputs allow the CORE 3 to stream independent audio sources from local libraries, AirPlay devices or integrated streaming services such as Spotify, TIDAL and TuneIn.

To integrate with a wide range of smart-home and AV hardware, the CORE 3 includes multiple device control protocols and interfaces.

Control connections include:

• IP control over Ethernet for network-based devices
  
• Infrared (IR) outputs for TVs, Blu-ray players and set-top boxes
  
• Serial (RS-232) ports for advanced device communication
  
• Zigbee wireless connectivity for Control4 devices and remotes
  
• Z-Wave support for additional smart-home integration
  
  This broad compatibility allows the controller to automate thousands of third-party devices including lighting systems, thermostats, motorised blinds, door locks and surveillance equipment.

The CORE 3 includes Gigabit Ethernet networking with PoE+ support, enabling both power and data transmission through a single cable. A secondary Ethernet port functions as a network switch for connecting nearby devices.

Additional connectivity includes:
USB 3.0 port for external storage or accessories, digital coax audio input for audio sharing across the system, external Zigbee and Z-Wave antennas for wireless integration
