The Monitor Audio C1M is a versatile in-ceiling speaker from the Creator Series, designed to deliver outstanding audio performance while blending seamlessly into modern residential and commercial interiors. Combining powerful, detailed sound with a discreet, low-profile design, it's an ideal choice for whole-home audio systems, media rooms and home cinema installations where both performance and aesthetics matter.
At the heart of the C1M is a 7-inch C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminium/Magnesium) bass/midrange driver, paired with a precision 1-inch C-CAM tweeter featuring Monitor Audio's UD Waveguide technology. This carefully engineered driver combination delivers clear, natural sound with excellent detail, controlled bass and smooth high frequencies, while the waveguide ensures wide, even sound dispersion for consistent performance throughout the listening area.
With a frequency response extending from 35Hz to 30kHz, 86dB sensitivity and power handling of up to 130 watts, the C1M offers impressive dynamics and effortless clarity across a wide range of listening levels. Whether you're enjoying background music, streaming high-resolution audio or creating an immersive home cinema experience, the C1M delivers balanced, room-filling sound with remarkable precision.
A medium-sized architectural speaker designed for a range of everyday listening spaces.
A low-profile design that integrates neatly into suitable ceilings.
Can be used with compatible amplification and suitable multi-room audio or home cinema systems.
Designed with installation in mind, the C1M incorporates Monitor Audio's Quik-Link cable connector for faster, more reliable wiring, while the Tri-Grip II mounting system ensures a secure, vibration-resistant installation in a wide variety of ceiling constructions. These innovative features simplify installation without compromising long-term reliability.
The Monitor Audio C1M is a model worth considering for multi-room audio installations where a medium-sized in-ceiling speaker is appropriate. Its 7-inch C-CAM driver, 86 dB sensitivity and discreet design make it a versatile option for spaces such as kitchens, living rooms and bedrooms. Compared with the smaller C1S, the C1M has a larger mid-bass driver and higher published sensitivity. Whether that makes it the better choice depends on the room, desired listening levels, ceiling space and overall system design.
