The Monitor Audio C1S is a compact in-ceiling speaker from the Creator Series, designed to deliver exceptional sound quality while blending discreetly into modern residential and commercial interiors. Combining impressive acoustic performance with a slim, low-profile design, it's an ideal choice for bedrooms, bathrooms, smaller kitchens and whole-home audio systems where space is limited but sound quality remains a priority.
At the heart of the C1S is a 5-inch C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminium/Magnesium) bass/midrange driver, paired with a precision 1-inch C-CAM tweeter. This advanced two-way design produces clear vocals, detailed midrange and crisp, natural high frequencies, while Monitor Audio's carefully optimised driver technology ensures balanced, room-filling sound with excellent clarity throughout the listening area.
With a frequency response extending from 40Hz to 30kHz and power handling of up to 100 watts, the C1S delivers confident, well-balanced performance for both music and television audio. Whether providing background music throughout the home or serving as part of a discreet home cinema system, it offers engaging, natural sound well beyond what its compact size would suggest.
A practical option for discreet in-ceiling installations.
Combines a C-CAM mid-bass driver and C-CAM tweeter.
Can be used with compatible amplification in multi-room audio and suitable home cinema systems.
Designed with installation in mind, the C1S incorporates Monitor Audio's Quik-Link cable connector for faster, more reliable wiring, while the Tri-Grip II mounting system ensures a secure, vibration-resistant installation in a wide variety of ceiling constructions. These innovative features simplify installation without compromising long-term reliability.
The Monitor Audio C1S is worth considering for smaller rooms and discreet audio installations where a compact in-ceiling speaker is appropriate. Its 5-inch C-CAM mid-bass driver, two-way design and low-profile appearance make it a practical option for bedrooms, hallways, smaller kitchens and other residential spaces. Compared with the C1M, the C1S uses a smaller mid-bass driver and has a smaller ceiling cut-out requirement. The right choice depends on the room, desired listening levels, available ceiling space and overall system design.
