The Monitor Audio C2L is the largest Tier 2 in-ceiling speaker in the Creator Series, designed to deliver powerful, room-filling sound while blending seamlessly into modern residential and commercial interiors. Combining advanced RST II driver technology with a discreet, low-profile design, it's the ideal choice for open-plan living spaces, media rooms and premium whole-home audio systems where exceptional performance and architectural aesthetics are equally important.
At the heart of the C2L is a substantial 9-inch RST II (Rigid Surface Technology II) C-CAM bass/midrange driver, partnered with a precision 1.25-inch C-CAM tweeter featuring Monitor Audio's UD Waveguide II technology. This advanced driver combination delivers deeper bass, lower distortion and wide, even sound dispersion, producing detailed vocals, natural midrange and crisp, effortless high frequencies across the listening area.
With a frequency response extending from 30Hz to 25kHz, 88dB sensitivity and power handling of 120W RMS, the C2L delivers exceptional dynamics, impressive bass extension and outstanding clarity, even at higher listening levels. Whether streaming high-resolution music, enhancing television audio or forming part of an immersive Dolby Atmos home cinema system, it provides balanced, room-filling sound with remarkable scale and precision.
Designed for installations where a larger in-ceiling speaker is appropriate.
Designed to support detailed high-frequency reproduction and sound dispersion.
Can be used with compatible amplification in suitably designed multi-room audio and home cinema systems.
Designed with installation in mind, the C2L incorporates Monitor Audio's Quik-Link cable connector for faster, more reliable wiring, while the Tri-Grip II mounting system ensures a secure, vibration-resistant installation in a wide variety of ceiling constructions. These innovative features simplify installation without compromising long-term reliability.
The Monitor Audio C2L is worth considering for larger living spaces, open-plan kitchens and media rooms where a larger in-ceiling speaker is appropriate. Its 9-inch RST II driver, 88 dB sensitivity and 120 W continuous power handling make it a capable option within the Creator Series Tier 2 range. Compared with the C2M, the C2L uses a larger mid-bass driver and requires a larger ceiling cut-out. Whether it is the better choice depends on the room, listening preferences, desired output and installation requirements.
