The Monitor Audio C2L-T2X is the most versatile high-performance in-ceiling speaker in the Creator Series, combining flagship acoustic performance with flexible operating modes for both premium music systems and immersive home cinema installations. Designed for larger residential and commercial spaces, it delivers powerful, room-filling sound while blending discreetly into modern interiors, making it an ideal choice where exceptional performance and architectural aesthetics are equally important.
At the heart of the C2L-T2X is a substantial 9-inch RST II (Rigid Surface Technology II) dual voice coil C-CAM bass/midrange driver, partnered with twin 1.25-inch C-CAM tweeters featuring Monitor Audio's UD Waveguide II technology. This advanced driver combination delivers deep, controlled bass, exceptional clarity and wide, even sound dispersion, creating an expansive, highly detailed listening experience with remarkable dynamics and tonal accuracy.
The C2L-T2X's defining feature is its ability to operate in Single Stereo, Bi-Pole or Di-Pole modes, allowing a single speaker to fulfil multiple roles. Single Stereo mode reproduces both the left and right audio channels from one speaker, making it ideal for bathrooms, hallways and other areas where space is limited. Bi-Pole and Di-Pole modes create spacious, immersive surround sound, making the C2L-T2X equally at home as a high-performance home cinema surround speaker.
With a frequency response extending from 30Hz to 30kHz and power handling of up to 240 watts, the C2L-T2X delivers exceptional scale, effortless dynamics and impressive low-frequency performance. Whether streaming high-resolution music, forming part of a premium whole-home audio system or supporting a Dolby Atmos home cinema, it provides powerful, room-filling sound without compromising clarity or control.
Choose Single Stereo for music, or Bi-Pole and Di-Pole modes for suitable home cinema surround applications.
Designed to deliver full-bodied sound and substantial low-frequency performance from an in-ceiling speaker.
Can form part of a suitably designed multi-room audio or home cinema system, with compatible amplification and control.
Designed with installation in mind, the C2L-T2X incorporates Monitor Audio's Quik-Link cable connector for faster, more reliable wiring, while the Tri-Grip II mounting system ensures a secure, vibration-resistant installation in a wide variety of ceiling constructions. These innovative features simplify installation without compromising long-term reliability.
The Monitor Audio C2L-T2X is worth considering when you need a larger in-ceiling speaker with the flexibility to reproduce stereo music from a single position or provide surround sound in a suitably designed home cinema. Its 9-inch RST II driver makes it an option for larger listening areas, while the three operating modes allow it to fulfil different roles depending on the installation. However, the correct mode, amplifier specification and speaker position are important to achieving the intended result.
